Supermom Summer: Entertaining is about to get a whole lot easier!

Every mother wants to be supermom this summer. After all, it’s the season of gatherings and traditions! Whether you’re hosting a family reunion at the lake, having a BBQ with neighbors, or planning an impromptu cookout on the patio — you can have fun and keep it stress free. You won’t believe what you can do in just a few steps with these simple hacks, ideas, and tips for entertaining all summer long!

Where Are The Grilling Utensils?!

The most difficult part about grilling is keeping track of all the tools! Or at least, it is in my book! Thankfully, my grandma taught me how to keep them in one place and I’m sure you’ll love this hack just as much as I do – it’s a life saver when you’re busy entertaining: store all of your grilling utensils in your mit! They’re all together, easily accessible, and ready to grab when you need them.

But How Much Propane Is In The Tank?

There’s nothing worse than the feeling of dread knowing friends are on their way over for a BBQ and you’ve forgotten to check the propane tank! You don’t want to be the host who is scrambling at the last minute, so it’s important to keep tabs on the amount of propane in your tank so that you never run out unexpectedly, but how do you know if your propane tank is full? Simple! Pour warm water down the side of the tank – where it’s warm there isn’t any propane, and where it’s cold, there is!

No More Burning Skewers!

If you’re like me, you probably love to grill but hate dealing with the skewers burning. Luckily I’ve found the perfect fix – it’s so simple! Fill up a bottle with water and stick your skewers in to soak before you stack your veggies and meats on them.

Bye Bye Bugs!

Every summer, it’s safe to say that at least one party has been interrupted by ants or bees, and if we’re having burgers or hot dogs, it’s pretty much guaranteed that someone will have a close encounter with flies or mosquitoes. This centerpiece is simple and it keeps the bugs at bay! Fill any bowl with water, slices of lemons or limes, rosemary sprigs, plus lavender, peppermint and citronella oils. The bugs hate the smell, and it looks beautiful on the table!

Fresh Food Forever!

At your next BBQ, instead of serving side dishes and salads in bowls, serve them in large jars. The food will stay fresher for longer, stay cool and if you’re going to be one of those people who cooks up a storm on the weekend before a party, then this makes for easy storage later on! All you have to do is put the jar in the fridge! Jars are also really easy to transport when you’re bringing your side dish or salad somewhere else for a gathering!

Who Ordered What Burger?

Medium? Well done? Meatless? Keeping track of who ordered what when you’re entertaining a crowd can be tough, but it doesn’t have to be! In fact, it can be as simple as using ketchup to write their order on the burger bun! This hack saves a lot of hassle for the person manning the grill, but also ensures that everyone gets exactly what they ordered.
